YULIYA TAMAN

Yuliya is a playful and inspiring yoga teacher whose journey into yoga began on a dare, but quickly evolved into a deep passion for the practice. Her favorite asana, Supta Virasana (reclined hero pose), reflects her love for grounding and opening poses, while her least favorite, Dwi Pada Sirsasana, symbolizes her drive to embrace challenges—even those that seem impossible.

 

As a teacher, Yuliya aims to embody what she preaches, focusing on showing herself compassion and prioritizing self-care amidst a busy schedule. Yuliya describes her teaching style as playful, creating a welcoming and lighthearted space for her students to explore their practice.

Queensland is her favorite holiday destination, as it holds all her travel memories so far. Her go-to comfort drink is a warm, indulgent cup of hot chocolate. She draws inspiration from Kim Possible, embodying the character’s determination and adventurous spirit. Her favorite quote, “The happiest people don’t have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything,” reflects her positive outlook on life.

A fan of the adventurous spirit found in books, Yuliya’s favorite is Journey to the Centre of the Earth. Growing up, she didn’t fixate on one profession but instead dreamed of countless possibilities. If she could have a date with anyone, it would be with the Dalai Lama and Deepak Chopra to explore profound conversations about life and spirituality.

One of Yuliya’s dreams is to connect her love of yoga and mindfulness with deeper personal and professional growth. Her spirit animal is the butterfly, symbolizing transformation and grace.
